Coincidentally, Hogan, Nelson and Snead were all born in 1912, and over a five-year period at the height of their careers they won 65 percent of the tournaments played.
“This was an exciting project and one that captured my heart from start to finish,” said Dodson. “These three golfers blazed the trail in so many ways so that we all can enjoy the wonderful game we have today. They changed the way golf was perceived in this country and around the world forever.”
American Triumvirate offers a look at personal and professional lives of these three iconic figures as well as the role they played in setting the stage for the game’s greats to come. Dodson was a writer and editor for GOLF Magazine for nearly 20 years, author of authorized biographies on Hogan and Arnold Palmer and his honors include the Donald Ross Award and the Herbert Warren Wind Award from the U.S. Golf Association.
