Black Friday behind the scenes: Best Buy Myrtle Beach
Most people don't even think about the crazy hours that thousands of our local retail employees put in to prepare for Black Friday.
Overnight shifts, insanely long hours, and less time with their families on what is just an extra long weekend off from work for most people. Whatever sleep you lost to camp out for that midnight-madness-door-buster deal is nothing compared to what these fine folks sacrificed days in advance to make sure you have a pleasant (and safe) shopping experience.
Fortunately, local photographer and Best Buy employee Brendan Wright was armed with his Canon 7D (would you expect anything less from a shutterbug with an employee discount at his disposal?) and captured some behind-the-scenes shots. What's even better is that he posted them to Flickr so you can peek into the Black Friday experience without the anxiety of waiting for tickets or sleeping on concrete. If you like what you see, Brendan has also made his photography skills available for hire. Find out more on his Flickr profile.
