Conway Riverfest this weekend
Conway's longest running festival, Riverfest, is this weekend, Friday and Saturday, June 29 and 30, 2012. There is an expanded list of events this year.

On Friday, June 29, 2012 the festival will kick off at 8 p.m. with local band, Tru Sol at the Conway Marina in Conway Riverfront Park. At 9 p.m. there will be a patriotic boat parade.
On Saturday, June 30, 2012, events will begin at 6 a.m. with a bass tournament, which runs until 4 p.m. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will be a car show. From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. there will be two stages of music. One will feature gospel music, the other bluegrass. Also from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. there will be an artisan market, business expo, and kids' games and activities. A golf cart parade will take place at 11 a.m., and a river raft race at 7 p.m.
You can check out the full schedule of events on the Conway Chamber of Commerce site. The weather is predicted to be insanely hot and humid, so if you go, protect yourself with sunscreen, a hat, water, and shade.
