Myrtle Beach rocker turns to conscious farming

Anyone looking back fondly on the late-80's and early-90's local band scene will certainly remember Bazooka Joe and their frontman Darel Watts. But today Darel has another passion in life: organic farming.

OrganicAuthority.com has a really awesome write-up and interview with Watts. You can (and should) read it here.

Watts' family business, Sugarfoot Farms is one of very few local farms that offer Community Supported Agriculture subscriptions. CSA programs allows you to support local farmers while getting a steady supply of locally produced goods. Like what you hear? We covered the ins-and-outs of local produce here.  If you're into the history of the Myrtle Beach music scene, you might like this retrospective on The Drag.

You can keep up with Sugarfoot on Facebook and Twitter.
