2012 Grand Strand 9/11 events
It's the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedies and there are many events commemorating the date throughout the Grand Strand.

The City of North Myrtle Beach is hosting a ceremony of remembrance which will include a candlelight vigil and 21-gun salute beginning at 7 p.m. For location and details, read more here.
Dead Dog Saloon on the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk is hosting their 11th annual 9/11 benefit, which includes food and entertainment beginning at 10 a.m. and running into the night. You can read here. They're also hosting a golf tournament beginning at 7:30 a.m. that day at the Island Green Country Club with all proceeds going to the Horry /Georgetown County Fire and Life Safety Expo, Georgetown County's Shop with Sheriffs Santa program, and Rolling Thunder Chapter 3.
