Wounded Marine comes home to celebration
Cory Szucs, a just 21 year old wounded Marine returned home to Surfside Beach Wednesday. Szucs lost a leg in Afghanistan and has received an outpouring of support from neighbors and friends he has never met until yesterday.

Neighbors and veterans came out to welcome Cory home at The Lakes clubhouse. Waving American flags those gathered sang 'Happy Birthday' loudly as Szucus got out of his car. Those who were there have been in contact with Szucs through letters and gift baskets. Szucs wrote back to each of his well wishers.
