Update May 9, 2012: The burger joint formally known as Andy’s Burgers Shakes & Fries, will be opening May 21.

Located near the Tanger Outlet Center on 501, the restaurant will have retro decor, serving cheeseburgers, frozen custard, cheesesteak sandwiches and more.

First Report Highway 55 Burgers, Shakes and Fries has been around since 1991 but until recently the fast service joint was known as Andy’s Burgers Shakes & Fries,.
The restaurant chin is experiencing some explosive growth and now have over 100 restaurants. Hwy 55 is expected to open 50 location in South Carolina, starting right here in Myrtle Beach.
