South Carolina man makes a bike seat that rises and lowers on command

While we pride ourselves here at TheDigitel on being 100% local, we also like to look around the state and see what cool things are going on in the Palmetto State, and this story from our sister site down in Beaufort is just too cool.

Myrtle Beach has a lot of biking fans, from single speeds to road bikes to mountain bikes and everything in between, well one Hilton Head Island's Matt Papka is ready to go public with his new Elev8 invention: a bike seat that can be lowered when you stop pedaling and rise when you're moving.

It's aimed at an older generation of bike users that don't want to or can't lean to one side when at a stop. or maybe perfect for those who might be a little on the shorter side.

The Island Packet has a report (read that here) and we dug up a couple promotional video that explains the Elev8 Bike.
