Editor's note: This article is an Open Community submission. It should be mentioned that the Recycled Rooster has been open for business for approximately seven months and is currently accepting and selling clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories.
Sally Collins is opening a brand new store in Conway across from HGTC on Highway 501 called the Recycled Rooster.
The store is a secondhand retail shop that puts emphasis on recycling gently used and reusable items instead of allowing them to fill landfills. "I am attempting to leave a small footprint on the environment by educating people on how to make things simpler and leading by example," said Sally. "Our journey through this world should be easy and fulfilling. I am committed to reusing, recycling, up-cycling and fair trade."
Sally is looking for clothing, shoes, jewelry (costume and sterling), and accessories for men and women. The only items accepted on consignment are wedding gowns, formal wear and cocktail dresses. Artists will be selling handmade soaps and artistic accessories made out of recycled material as well.
