Patrick Reynolds leading anti-smoking advocate to talk at HGTC
Horry Georgetown Tech with Smoke Free Horry and The Foundation for a SmokeFree America will be hosting Patrick Reynolds one of the nation's best known tobacco-free advocates.
Patrick Reynolds, a grandson of R.J. Reynolds, founder of the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company is the maker of Camel and Winston cigarettes, products that Patrick Reynolds knows killed his father and oldest brother.
Reynolds has become an advocate for a smoke-free America, campaigning for ballot measures and State Assembly bills to ban smoking in the workplace, to increase State spending on teen smoking prevention programs and for more FDA regulation.
Join Reynolds on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in the Burroughs and Chapin Auditorium at the Conway campus of Horry Georgetown Tech. The event is is open to faculty, staff, students, and the community and begins at 6 p.m.
